Some causes only feel lost when you’re fighting for them. Otherwise they just seem improbable, intricate, untouchable, but never impossible. There’s a thin line between giving up and letting go, as there is between making right or wrong choices, as there is between feeling and thinking. Two separate entities jumbled together so tightly that can’t be properly defined at first glance.

Some causes only feel lost when you don’t know for sure that they’re lost. When they really are, the only thing left there is hope. Because if the cause is lost, maybe you’re just fighting the wrong battle. Maybe you’re just fighting it the wrong way. Maybe you don’t even know the battle.

Some causes only feel lost because the fighter is lost. Maybe you miscalculate who you are, how you react, what you want and why. Maybe you simply don’t know yourself and let’s be honest, how you pretend to win a fight if you don’t know your own weapons?

Some causes only feel lost because you don’t realize they make it worth living at least one more day.
